Kramerica Gives Leadership Program
The program is made up of student-held meetings that include a variety of hands-on and engaging experiences like learning from different guest speakers, practicing public speaking, social action, and creating community support with one another. The program takes place during the school year, twice a month after school and includes our five pillars; Leadership, Mentorship, Community Involvement, Scholarships, and Opportunities.
Leadership
Students are encouraged to break out of their comfort zones to foster self-confidence and to provide a readiness for life after high school. Each meeting provides students opportunities to engage in teamwork, independent self-reflection, goal setting, and open-minded discussions.
MENTORSHIP
Each Kramerica Gives student is paired up with an adult mentor. Mentors provide feedback and support through conversations about college and other post-high school options, careers, cultural issues, and personal life. Most importantly, the adult mentors are there to listen to them and support them.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Kramerica Gives provides a variety of organizations in the Denver area students can volunteer with. Students are encouraged to support fundraisers, participate in community events, communicate with community leaders, shadow a volunteer for career exploration, and serve as ambassadors for Kramerica Gives in their communities.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Students who meet all the requirements and graduate from the program will be awarded scholarship money, which can be used for college or another post-secondary goal.
OPPORTUNITIES
Students gain access to unique activities and experiences that broaden their horizons and enrich their education. These opportunities help them develop new skills, explore new interests, and foster personal growth in ways they might not encounter otherwise.
